Welcome to the WCA

The Washington Clay Arts Association was started to promote better communication among clay artists throughout the state. Membership is open to everyone interested in clay arts.

Six meetings are held each year with invited guest speakers and interesting programs. Socials are held in the summer and winter. Exhibits are planned for various locations around the state and are available to all members.

There will be wood fired pizza made on site after the meeting so please RSVP. This meeting is reserved for paid members and those who will pay their membership for 2012 at the meeting. Also we will be celebrating the extended Presidency of Liz Duarte', who is now Past President, and she will be our Guest of Honor. Lots to plan and talk about. It is a potluck, please bring a salad, drinks, finger foods, or a dessert. The WCA is covering the pizza fixings.

Get Involved

Liz Duarte has moved on to past president status as of the first of the year, so the president position is open. The board is busy planning the 2012 calendar year so that until we find a new leader the club will continue to do business as usual. We are also looking for a PR person- please see the job descriptions below and please contact Liz if you'd like to get involved!

President

1. Preside over elections

2. Lead board meetings

3. Provide strategic information that aligns all initiatives with the five year vision. Maintain focus avoiding details.

4. Organize focus groups.

5. Ensure that board meetings are strategically planned to give attention to association events.

6.Initiate a five year vision, year three milestones & year one tasks (with the board).

1. Contacts media & publications regarding events pertaining to club.
